The reason for this is that they offer a complete range of gardening equipment, including watering systems, pumps, garden ponds, lawn care, tree and shrub care, garden tools and soil cultivation.
Based in Ulm, Germany, they were established in 1961 by Werner Kress and Eberhard Kastner. When first established Gardena imported and sold garden tools manufactured in France and it wasn’t until they developed and introduced the ‘Original GARDENA System’ in 1968 that they had their big breakthrough. It is as a result of their continuous innovation and high quality manufacturing that Gardena have become the worldwide renowned manufacturer of intelligently-simple products that they are today.

For over 49 years the Original GARDENA System has stood for easy watering in the garden. One click – and the connection from the water tap to the hose and hose to watering accessory is absolutely tight - one click and you can change accessories as required. The popularity of this range of connectors has meant that their distinct orange colour has become a timeless classic and an inherent part of gardens across the world.
We started selling the Original GARDENA System in 1988 and their range of quick change connectors soon became popular with our customers.
